I’m David Lancefield. I transform the performance of leaders, teams and organisations.
As a senior executive, founder or experienced professional, you face plenty of challenges
Taking on a new role, keen to make an impact
But the problem is, deep inside you doubt you’re fully qualified. You’ve inherited a team that’s not aligned, an organisation that struggles to perform at times, and a set of problems you’ve never solved before. Everyone is watching, expecting great things — immediately — and while you’re trying to maintain an air of confidence, you’re feeling off-balance inside.
Transforming your organisation
You’ve launched your strategy with a fanfare, after a great deal of work. But the organisation is not moving in the right direction. They seem stuck in their old ways. And the attempts to innovate feel timid. You now need to make some important decisions and try something different.
Responding to disruption in your industry or ecosystem
Emergent technologies, geopolitical shifts and changing behaviours are challenging your licence to operate and the strength of your business model. Now you need to work out which moves to make to strengthen your resilience and explore new possibilities.
Looking to improve your performance and prospects
By any measure you’re doing fine. But that’s not good enough for you. You know you can do better, and do more — and yet you don’t want to make any more sacrifices. If truth be told, your bosses think the same but don’t know what you’re up for. It’s time to develop a strategy for you.
You may have to work on your
- Strategic thinking
- Decision making
- Ability to create inclusion and belonging
- Presence and impact
- Conflict handling
And you may have to
- Create, refine or redesign a strategy
- Evolve a culture so that it is more inclusive, accountable and collaborative
- Build a more capable, cohesive leadership team
- Design or rejuvenate a transformation programme
The personal, team and organisational elements are symbiotic
- You can’t improve your impact without understanding the dynamics of your team and the organisational context
- Similarly, an organisation in need of a new strategy requires a leader and team capable of designing and executing it
You could hire a coach to work on your leadership style while your strategy consultants work on organisational issues and your team building specialists try to align your team. And you can drive yourself crazy trying to fit all of that advice together.
Or you can hire one person who knows how they integrate, right from the start.
